September is a time of immense change for many of us within the field of student affairs. From opening new (or old) buildings to moving to new cities, onboarding new colleagues to welcoming new students to your campus, campus life abounds with transitions for students and professionals.
Even the Student Affairs Collective (SAC) has seen transition over this summer – with a shift to NASPA managing the administrative leadership of SAC. More change will come with #SAChat becoming more targeted around content, collaboration, choice, and community. We’ll also be launching our re-branded podcast next week.
With the changes on campus and within our community, it only seemed fitting that we kick off our first monthly series of the year with the theme “transitions.” How are practitioners managing a new professional role? What can you do to set yourself up for success in the new academic year? How do you make sense of transition and change on your campus?
And for those of your who know me personally, you’ll hear more about my very recent transition next week. Happy start of a new academic year, y’all!
September is the month of transitions, especially on the college campus. Follow #SATransitions to read as the community reflects upon transition and change, personally and professionally.
